UDAYAN CA WINS THE FIRST Q FINAL AT JAGARANI SANGH (D/N) CRICKET

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 10th Feb, 2015: In the first quarter final of the 16th All Bengal Day-Night Sub Junior Knock out Cricket Tournament 2014-15 here in the Suryanagar Municipal Grounds yesterday Udayan Cricket Academy from Alipurduar beat up Sarojoni Sangha Cricket Coaching Centre from Atharokhai, Shivmandir. The local team succumbed in 21.3 overs by scoring 115 runs. The highest run getter in their innings was the opener Rajib Majumdar with 29 runs. On behalf of Udayan Cricket Academy, Alipurduar, the highest wicket taker was Arpan Sengupta with 3 wickets.
Earlier Udayan CA scored a total of 162 runs at the cost of 6 wickets. Opener Monoshish Saha from Udayan CA was recorded as the highest run-getter with 44 runs. Sarojini CCC’s Aniket Sarkar got the highest wicket i.e. 2 wickets in his bag.
With this win Udayan CA from Alipurduar went into the semi-final of the tournament. It will play its semi-final on 13th Feb with the winner of the 3rd quarter final to be played on 11th Feb between Subhajit Maitra (Danu) Memorial CCC, Siliguri and Raikat CCC, Jalpaiguri.
